Farmer's Market

I love going to the Farmer's Market. This week we decided to ride our bikes to Ogden's Farmer's Market. I have to say, riding your bike down hill the whole way there is very fun. Usually we ride down 26th Street and park our bikes at a rack behind the Municipal Building. My favorite part of the market is how many unique things there are. Once we've spent an hour or so admiring/buying fresh produce or other treats and talking to friends we hop on our bikes to ride back up "The Hill." I've found the easiest route is to ride 26th Street up a block past Harrison Blvd., then go left to ride 25th Street way up to Fillmore Ave. and head home from there. I had a great time on my bike and at the market and would recommend trying it for sure!

Snowbasin Biking Trail

Today my mom and I went to Snowbasin for the opening of a new trail loop. It was beautiful, the wildflowers were out and everything was very green. The only thing I didn't like was that we tried to bike it, and we're both not very good mountain bikers, so was challenging to do. I do recommend this trail though, and seeing Snowbasin in the summer was amazing.

Biking to the Movies

My dad and I biked from my house to the New Gate Mall to see a movie. I was a bit nervous about riding with traffic, and riding up 36th street was hard. The great thing about biking is that you get a totally different perspective of wherever you're riding as to if you were in a car.

Mud Pies

Making mud pies is a favorite summer afternoon hobby. I use seasonal flowers from my yard including petals, leaves, berries, a walnut shell, anything I can find. I put them in a broken flower pot, or a pie tin, some times I just use a big leaf.
